Creativity has always played a role in my life from an early age right through to the way I arranged my homes. I have never been afraid of DIY and home improvements and relish a challenge. What I have always missed is an outlet in which to express myself as well as the support to go out and do something for myself in this way, Until now. We are a true family based operation with those values at our core as well as an understanding of the nature of busy households. Alongside me I have my partner Mike and my three boys who all do their bit to muck in.
Jenloupa itself was born out of a necessity during some tough times as I sold my own possessions to make ends meet. After completing my first project and feeling particularly pleased with myself what I produced I began to look around for other things that I could work on. In the blink of an eye I had exhausted the stock in both my own and mums house and so started to look at items online. It became clear that old furniture was abundantly available all over the local area and so I started to purchase what I could and sell it on. The bug had well and truly bitten and I spent endless hours preparing, Designing and practicing my techniques. After initial early success I decided to take the plunge and go for it. Jenloupa was incorporated in April 2014 and the hard work really started. It was invigorating to be a business owner after all these years and it truly inspired me to produce even better items. We quickly established a flourishing local reputation through social media as well as Jenloupa member pages as well as word of mouth from happy customers. No we are thrilled to be able to provide beautiful new itesm at fantastic prices that are in keeping with the Jenloupa spirit
From those early days we have changed the way we store our stock both finished and held, Our work space environment, Delivery and payment methods. It’s been an extra ordinary beginning for the company and has challenged us in every way imaginable. It’s been all consuming with endless hours, No days off, Pain, Tears but the end results have been worthwhile as I believe that we offer both quality and value for money. Building great relationships with our clients is a fundamental of what we do and work side by side in delivering above and beyond their expectations. Nothing beats that moment when the client meets their new item for the first time and that will never change
Jenloupa is an extension of the character that I am and I try to impart as much personality into every piece that is produced. Never being afraid to stand out is a phrase that lives with me when it comes to design inspiration. Many people can end up in the same pattern as everyone else, Pigeon holed into producing one style. Our portfolio shows the huge range of designs that we can produce from Children’s tables to antique bureaus from classic combinations to cutting edge, Modern themes. Nothing is ever off the table both in terms of colour and I am incredibly fussy when it comes to what I like. Many of our customers have faith in me to produce the goods from them and so they give me a blank canvas to work on which is fantastic. It’s been a steep learning curve to say the least and at times the pressure, Expectation and sheer volume of work has had me at breaking point but from each moment like that I have learned and adapted. Work literally never sleeps and I always have ideas springing out of my at all hours of the day.
